One of my favorite things about working in the Interlibrary Loan department of our library is exposure to odd book titles. Because we borrow items that our not currently in our massive collection, the unusual, intriguing and specific are frequent visitors.
The best ones are often do-it-yourself books.
Past favorites include How To Avoid Huge Ships and How To Shoot Your Children (even if it is a subtitle referring to photography).
This week brought this gem: Anyone Can Build a Tub-Style Mechanical Chicken Plucker.
Now, my sister raises chickens, and so do my next-door neighbors, and we have a shed in our backyard that used to be a coop and I'm tempted to raise a few myself, but this title was just so unexpected I thought I'd share.
